Project Silver Screen provides affordable functional ability health screening for Singaporeans aged 60 and above. It consists of 3 simple checks to ensure their eyes, ears and mouth are in good health. If these conditions are found to be declining, it can affect the senior’s well-being and their quality of life. Early detection of functional decline, with appropriate follow-up interventions, will enable seniors to remain independent and active.

Under this programme, seniors found to have vision issues are referred to Optometrist for further eye assessment. Some of the seniors eligible for government subsidies could get a new pair of spectacles at a subsidised rate, along with the corporate monies to defray the out-of-pocket costs. Therefore, we are looking to partner with interested optical shops to serve these seniors.

To participate, your Organisation would need to meet all the following criteria:

  • Have a registered Optometrist (full registration by Optometrists & Opticians Board, OOB) at the participating branch(es)
  • Have been retailing spectacles for 2 years or more in Singapore
  • Is not currently facing any disciplinary action, winding up or under judicial management
  • Be assessed by AIC to be financially healthy in order to support this programme

If your Organisation is interested to participate, please complete and submit the following documents to us at fs.support@aic.sg.

  • Reply Slip
  • Non-Disclosure Agreement
  • Latest ACRA or Bizfile Document
  • Audited Financial Statements in the last 3 years
  • Scanned copies of all Fully Registered Optometrists’ registration cards

AIC will organise briefing session for the interested optical shops that meet the above criteria. Do note that you would only be able to participate in the programme after attending a mandatory online briefing.
