​The Senior Management Associate Scheme (SMAS) aims to attract mid-career PMETs (Professionals, Managers, Executives and Technicians) to join the growing Community Care sector and help Community Care organisations recruit suitable managerial and leadership talents to support its organisational growth and development. 

Candidates will be eligible for Senior Management Associate Scheme (SMAS) if he/she fulfils the following criteria:

  • Candidate is a Singaporean or PR
  • Candidate has not been employed by any community care organisation in the last 6 months
  • Candidate has at least 8 years of managerial/leadership experience;
  • Candidate is part of the senior management team or reports directly to a member of the senior management team
  • Candidate should not have adverse reference checks
  • Baseline salary of at least $5,000/month
  • Candidate must not be funded under SMAS previously through any community care organisation
  • For SMAS associate(s) who resigned within the project period, organisation would only be able to receive funding for the same job vacancy twice. Thereafter, organisation would not be eligible for funding for the same job vacancy in the next 12 months.

Participating community care employers can receive funding for salary support of:

  • $5,000 per month for successful candidates drawing monthly base salaries of less than $10,000, or
  • $7,000 per month for successful candidates drawing monthly base salaries of $10,000 or more.

Funding for salary support will last for a period of one year.
